AirElectric is a point-of-interest application designed for locating charging stations, drawing on data from goingelectric.de, a prominent community network in Europe, particularly in the DACH region. Goingelectric boasts nearly 100,000 charge points across Europe.

It is important to note that this is the initial release of the app, and it is currently in its Alpha stage.

Key Features:

• Price Calculation: The app provides pricing estimates for various chargers, including those from networks such as Tesla Supercharger, Fastned, EnBW, and IONITY (currently in Beta for the DACH region). Users can assess cost-effectiveness among different charging cards like Maingau, EnBW, Chargepoint, Plugsurfing, Charge Price, and NewMotion.
• Live Status Updates: The application offers live updates for charger statuses—indicating availability with green (available), blue (in use), and red (error). Note that not all chargers report live statuses.
• Smart Filters: Users can utilize customizable filters to identify optimal charging stations based on proximity to amenities such as hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, and airports.
• Free Charging Stations: The app also includes functionality to locate free charging stations compatible with electric vehicles.
• Vehicle Setup: Users can input their electric vehicle's specifications to determine charging time and costs tailored to the vehicle's capabilities and battery capacity.
• Preferred Charging Cards: Settings allow users to select preferred charging cards for precise price calculations.
• Community Feedback: Navigate away from chargers flagged by users as non-functional or problematic.
• Tesla Destination Chargers: Locate Tesla destination chargers or other accommodations with charging facilities.
• Listing Options: Users with charging facilities can list their Airbnb or holiday rentals within the app (Alpha).
• Community Sharing: The application encourages users to share their charging options with the EV community through Plugshare integration (Alpha).
